The professors were enthusiastic and tried to take extra care of me because I was a foreign student. There were a lot of study sessions where the professors supported students independently and in small groups. I have many happy memories of my time in Eugene.

University of Oregon's Academic Approach

Because the University of Oregon is on a quarter system, there are many term combinations you can apply for, including combinations spanning summer academic coursework. One on one staff mentoring is also available to make sure you get the type of personal attention you need, academically and pastorally.

With more than 300 academic programs across 9 academic colleges and schools, there’s an abundance of courses you can transfer credit from to your home university.

You register for your classes through the online portal before you arrive at the university.

Upper division courses are generally more rigorous and are more likely to have pre-requisites. Courses numbered 500 and above are graduate-level courses.

As a visiting student, you can take courses both inside and outside your academic major. Popular courses and upper division courses may fill up very quickly, so try to flexible with your course selections and register for classes as soon as you can.
