Your Student Counselor is your study abroad ambassador and supporter. They join your application journey when you’ve confirmed you’re interested in studying abroad. At this point, they guide you through each stage of the application, notify you of the documents you need, let you know when your admission results are in, and walk you through the next steps, including class enrollment and organizing pre-arrival tests.

Courses

There are several important points to note about the courses and processes at this university. 

Course Pre-Approvals

When you apply to this program, you need to submit course preferences for pre-approval at the time of application. During the pre-approval process, you may be asked to provide additional documentation of pre-requisites for some courses. Once approved, you will register for your classes during a set time online. You may only register for classes you have been pre-approved for.

Foreign Language (Non-English) Courses

If you're interested in taking a foreign language (non-English), you need to take a placement test or show valid proof of current language levels.

Course Restrictions

You are eligible to take any undergraduate course you are qualified to take. However, some majors give preference to degree-seeking students. Therefore, availability is limited for the following subject areas:

  • Psychology
  • Public Relations

Application Requirements

When applying to study abroad, you must meet the entry requirements set by the host university - and SAF is here to set you up for success.

The requirements outlined in this section include the language proficiency scores you may need to demonstrate your language skills, a guide to the GPA range and other academic prerequisites required by your host university, and a list of documentation and other application materials you will need to finalize your application. You may need to supply additional information throughout the process, and you will be alerted through your emails and SAF Student Portal if this is the case for you.

Language Test Score Requirements

To prove your language proficiency, you will need to provide one of the following:

  • IELTS: 6.5, with a minimum score of 6.0 in each sub-section
  • PTE: 59
  • TOEFL iBT: 85, with a minimum sub-score of 20 in every band
  • Duolingo English Test (DET): 115, with minimum subscore of 105 in each section
