A flagship comprehensive national university, Daegu Metropolitan City is a global, knowledge-oriented institution with impressive results on the world stage. US News and World Report has ranked KNU the top national university and 10th in Korea in the ‘Best Global College’ category. Its prolific research-paper publication makes it the leading national university in Korea. Having grown from an amalgamation and upgrade of Daegu’s colleges of education, medicine, and agriculture, KNU now has four campuses in Gyeongbuk province and offers courses in liberal arts, sciences, law and political sciences, engineering, and dentistry. Lanzhou University is a major research university in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, China. Founded in 1909, it is one of the key universities under China's Ministry of Education (Project 985 & Project 211). It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University. Lanzhou University was one of the first universities entitled to enroll Bachelor Master's and Doctoral degree candidates in 1981. Lanzhou University is one of the top ten universities in contributions to academic publications in international journals frequently cited by ongoing research from around the world.

Grown from its roots as Musashi High School, the first seven-year high school in Japan, Musashi University has three goals – independence, dialogue, practice – which guide the education in its faculties of economics, humanities, and sociology, and graduate schools of economics and humanities. A private, Christian university, Myongji University started life as a women's college. It has grown into a celebrated center of engineering, science, and humanities education, with a Social Science Campus in Seoul and a Natural Science Campus in Yongin. MU lauds and nurtures research in computing, engineering, and biosciences in its state-of-the-art of laboratories. Myongji University has international exchange agreements with numerous institutions and its International Graduate School offers a number of intercultural studies and engineering design and management courses taught in English.

Nanchang Hangkong University is an engineering-based multidisciplinary university. It is a higher education institute with a distinctive feature of aeronautics and national defense under the joint supervision of Jiangxi Provincial Government and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.

Nanchang University (NCU) is a National Key University in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. It was established in 1940 as National Chung Cheng University. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines.
