Sending Universities

Established in 1639, Ryukoku University has the longest history of university education and research in Japan. It inaugurated the first faculty of science and engineering, as well as the nation's first faculty of agriculture in a Buddhist university. Now it has  faculties and graduate schools in literature, economics, business administration, law, science and technology, sociology, international studies, policy science, and agriculture, as well as a junior college, a law school, and its overseas base, Ryukoku University Berkeley Center.
Through its exchange programs with over one hundred partner universities, Ryukoku places great importance on teaching Japanese language and culture, offering programs both for beginners and those preparing to enter undergraduate and graduate programs.

Established in 1937, Sangmyung University is one of the leading private universities in Korea located in the heart of Seoul's urban core, yet situated right on the edge of Mt. Bukhan National Park. About 15,000 students, including over 1,000 international students from all over the world, are currently enrolled in 13 colleges in the Seoul and Cheonan campuses. The university specialize in the fields of Education, Computer Software, Media Technology, and Design, and intend to build these departments up to world-class status with the support and cooperation of various industries and organizations.

Seinan Gakuin University is a Christian university in Fukuoka, Japan. Seinan Gakuin, or SGU, was founded in 1906 by Rev. C. K. Dozier, a missionary from the United States. The university is located in Kyushu's largest city, known as the "gateway to Asia " and offers students a thrilling environment to learn and grow. The university is a humanities-focused with a long history of international exchange and cooperation. 

Korea's leading national research university, Seoul National University has existed in one guise or another since 1895. An amalgamation of colleges, it is well known as the alma mater for Secretary General of the UN Ban Ki-moon, Chairman of the IPCC Hoesung Lee, and Chairman of Samsung Electronics Kwon Oh-hyun.Now the most prestigious university in the country, it ranks in the top 50 global universities for many disciplines. Graduate wages are, on average, about 12 percent higher than any other Korean university, and SNU is ranked in the top ten globally for having alumni holding CEO positions in Fortune 500 enterprises. SNU has exchange arrangements in place with the University of Pennsylvania and a dual master's degree program with Duke University.

A doctorate degree-granting private institution, Seoul Women's University was founded in the 1960's by the Presbyterian Church of Korea to instil knowledge, virtue, and expertise in tomorrow's female leaders. In its mission to nurture young talent and ensure students leave with well-rounded values, the university offers an open-education system that encourages students to be involved in small-group discussion and companion circles to deepen understanding and advance relationships between both students and professors. It also runs a popular English-language program -- Seoul Women's University English Language License (SWELL) - to enhance both its own students' English skills and Korean students' from other universities on residential courses. SWU has strong international exchange links globally, too.

Shaanxi Normal University (SNNU) is a key institution of higher education in People's Republic of China authorized to grant degrees in various subject. It was included in the "211 Projec"t in 2006 and started its high-speed development. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines.

Shanghai Maritime University is a public university in Shanghai, People's Republic of China. Shanghai Maritime University is multidisciplinary with six fields of study: Engineering, Management, Economics, Literature, Science and Law. It is one of the best Chinese universities for specialization in maritime, shipping and transport education.
