Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) is an elite, Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines. Located in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, it was established in 1952 and is now operated by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Nanhang is ranked in the top 250 universities in the world in the QS World University Rankings for Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering, and as one of the top 200 universities of Asia.

Nankai University is a public research university located in Tianjin, China. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University. It was founded in 1919, by educators Yan Xiu and Zhang Boling.Nankai University, Peking University and Tsinghua University merged and formed the National Changsha Provisional University, which later moved to Kunming and was renamed the National Southwestern Associated University.

Northeast Normal University is one of the six national normal universities in the People's Republic of China, located in Changchun, Jilin province. The university was listed as a "project 211" university. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines.

Northeastern University is a public university in Shenyang, Liaoning province with strengths in engineering and architecture. It is known for its prominent role in the information technology industry. With a total enrollment of over 20,000 students, Northeastern has received significant government funding through the "211 Project" and "985 Project", initiatives which sought to elevate the research standards of rising Chinese universities. In 2017, Northeastern was selected by the Chinese Ministry of Education as a Class B institution in the Double First Class University Plan, a major government initiative to comprehensively develop a group of elite universities into "world-class institutions" by 2050.

The Ocean University of China is a university in Qingdao. As one of the key comprehensive universities of China, it is under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University. While offering studies in all major branches of natural and social sciences alongside engineering, the university is especially renowned for its marine sciences and fishery sciences departments.

Rikkyo University was founded in 1874 as a small Christian private school teaching Bible and English studies. Since then, it has developed as one of the top liberal arts universities in Japan and is located in Tokyo.

College of Intercultural Communication (CIC) was established in 2008. The CIC curriculum includes a for-credit Study Abroad Program, where students depart in their 2nd year for one semester or one year. CIC believes “The force of globalization moves the world and its peoples, every community and every citizen. CIC approaches this dynamism by turning knowledge into practice to solve complex problems”.

Established in 1639, Ryukoku University has the longest history of university education and research in Japan. It inaugurated the first faculty of science and engineering, as well as the nation's first faculty of agriculture in a Buddhist university. Now it has  faculties and graduate schools in literature, economics, business administration, law, science and technology, sociology, international studies, policy science, and agriculture, as well as a junior college, a law school, and its overseas base, Ryukoku University Berkeley Center.
Through its exchange programs with over one hundred partner universities, Ryukoku places great importance on teaching Japanese language and culture, offering programs both for beginners and those preparing to enter undergraduate and graduate programs.
