When you study abroad at Arizona State University, you enter a dynamic ecosystem where you can expand your network and cultivate inspiring career connections. ASU students and alumni, the Sun Devils, are known for their spirit of camaraderie and mutual support. And it’s into this environment you step when you study abroad at ASU.

Studying abroad enriches your academic experience and proves you are willing to embrace a journey of growth and discovery. It introduces you to new perspectives and encourages you to see the world through a different lens.

There are opportunities for personal and professional growth across ASU, where commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship permeates every aspect of campus life. And with 500,000 alumni worldwide, there’s a robust network of alumni and industry partners you can turn to beyond the campuses too, at Silicon Valley tech giants, Wall Street financiers, Hollywood studios, and environmental groups. Thanks to the active connections between alums, departments, and students, this is fertile ground on which you can build lasting professional connections.

Venture Devils

With Fortune 500 companies, thriving startups, and innovative research centers on ASU’s doorstep and a hefty alumnus to tap into, the Venture Devils program pairs student founders with experienced, knowledgeable mentors keen to lift up the next round of entrepreneurs with world-changing ideas.

Provided the “key founder is an undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral, or part-time student enrolled in any ASU in-person or online program or course,” this exceptional launching pad is available to them. As well as expert mentorship, you have access to co-working and makerspaces where you can fabricate and prototype your ideas. Adding a little competition for the already very competitive, you can enter the Venture Devils Pitch Playoffs then, if successful, compete in the biannual investor-style pitches and showcase on Venture Devils Demo Day, the culmination of the Venture Devils program.

Personal branding

You’ve come from a distinguished institution, you’ve chosen to study abroad at a leading national university, and you have your eye on networking and career growth even before you’ve graduated—you’re already ahead of the field. But you need to show your future employers how impressive you really are.

ASU equips you with the tools to shine. You can take career-development workshops to refine your resume, and you can boost your online presence with professional headshots arranged on campus. With mock interviews giving you valuable feedback and confidence, you’ll be ready for the real deal when you see your perfect job—and you’ll know you can stand out in a competitive market.
