Academics

University College London's Academic Approach
On the winter English language program, you are in classes of no more than 15 students, so you get high levels of individualized attention and feedback on your language abilities.
Your objectives on this course are:
- Improved English language skills
- More confidence in communicating in English
- Better understanding of British life and culture
Instructors assign your tasks and provide flipped classroom learning for you to complete as your schedule allows. Learning activities include watching lectures, taking notes, and completing assignments, viewing PowerPoint presentations as the teacher explains the content, and contributing to online discussions. You also work on peer review assignments, and grammar/vocabulary practice activities. The synchronous and asynchronous parts of the program are clearly presented so you understand how to work together to support your language and academic skills development.
Your instructors are available during office hours to help you with questions about the course content, assignments, and activities.
