It was good to experience American culture. I remember watching the presidential inauguration while sitting and eating in the school cafeteria.

Recognized internationally for its educational achievements and athletic accomplishments, MSU is also one of the greenest campuses in the US. Academics

Michigan State University Academic Approach

This program offers you broad access to courses at MSU and fully integrates you into the university, giving you a traditional American college experience.

MSU provides you, as an SAF Scholar, with various resources and activities organized each semester, including personalized advising on courses and group events.

Courses

You submit your course selection form when you submit your application. From there, MSU advisors assist in registering you in classes based on your course selection form. They stay in close communication with you throughout the course enrollment process.

You, like most students, can adjust your schedule after arriving on campus and during the first week of courses.

Course & Departmental Restrictions

As an SAF Scholar, you can choose coursework from multiple departments and colleges at MSU. However, courses at the business school are extremely limited to visiting students.

If you want to study business, you should consider taking related subjects outside the business school: communication, advertising, or hospitality business, for example.

Economics classes have a lot of flexibility if you have taken the prerequisite courses, but it is unwise to take all 4 courses in the economics department.

Overall, course eligibility depends on student academic experience, course requirements, and seat availability. You should approach your experience with an open mind and be flexible and willing to work with your MSU academic advisor to find the best courses.

Graduate courses are available if you are a graduate-level SAF Scholar and you have met the prerequisites.
