UIBE, a Ministry of Education "Double First-Class" university in Beijing, was established in 1951. Its 500-acre campus serves 16,000 students and 900 faculty members. A top-tier "211 Project" institution in finance and foreign trade, it excels in Applied Economics, Law, and Business Administration, renowned for its globalized programs and international trade expertise.

The University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) formerly known as Beijing Steel and Iron Institute before 1988, is a national key university in Beijing, China. USTB's metallurgy and materials science programmes are highly regarded in China. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines.In 1997, USTB was selected into the first tier of universities for China's 211 Project (involved with the development of 100 world class universities in the 21st century for China).

Famous for halving its tuition fee, University of Seoul is a public university funded and supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, which makes significant financial investment per student. Reported to be the best-value public university in Korea, UOS has very high numbers of applicants and very few students dropping out, and – because they feel they have taken much from the state – many of the alumni work as national or municipal government officials. Wenzhou University of Technology is an undergraduate public university. It is the former Wenzhou University Oujiang College. There are eight colleges and one public teaching department. The university offers numerous undergraduate majors covering disciplines including engineering, literature, science, economics, management, law, art, and education.

Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is an international joint university based in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. Founded in 2006 and resulting from a partnership between the University of Liverpool and Xi'an Jiaotong University, it is the first Sino-British joint venture between research led universities. The University primarily focuses on science, technology, engineering, architecture and business with a secondary focus in English.

Xiamen Institute of Technology is a full-time undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. In 2015, it was approved to become one of the first batch of independent undergraduate universities in Fujian Province. In 2019, it passed the assessment of undergraduate teaching in regular institutions of higher learning by the Ministry of Education.
