Sending Universities

Future University Hakodate (FUN), which was established as a public university in the year 2000, is 
located on a hill of overlooking the city of Hakodate with a spectacular view of Mt. Hakodate. FUN
fosters innovative learning opportunities in Systems Information Science. In this field, the disparate
elements that are involved in real-world processes are interpreted in terms of “information”, and
then multiple approaches are used to conceptualize, model or design the “systems” that connect this
information. FUN offers a highly sophisticated and unique curriculum of studies in many areas.
Students also have significant flexibility to select combinations of preferred subjects such as Design,
Art, Communication, Complex Systems Science, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence.
 

FWU was established in 1923 as the first public college for women in Japan. Students pursue their ambitions in the areas of international liberal arts, environmental sciences, and food and health sciences. FWU is an internationally focused university, collaborating with high-quality institutions around the world in developing globally-minded leaders.

Founded in 2021, Eikei University of Hiroshima is a public university with an urban campus just a 10-minute walk from Hiroshima Station. Eikei University is a bilingual institute, offering all courses in both English and Japanese. With an international and diverse campus environment, Eikei welcomes international students from all over the world. Through Project-Based Learning (PBL), students participate in real-world problem-solving exercises in collaboration with companies, internships, and other practical programs. Eikei University fosters innovators who can identify social issues and design new values.

Soka University is a private, four-year university and graduate school located on 215 acres in Hachioji, an academic city with 21 universities located approximately 40 kilometers west of central Tokyo.

Osaka University of Economics is a private university located in Higashiyodogawa-ku, Osaka, Japan. The university was founded in 1932 as Naniwa Higher Commercial School. In 1935, with the large donation by Dr. Iwao Kokusho, the school was revived as Showa Higher Commercial School. During World War II, most of the students were enlisted. So in 1944 Osaka Women's College of Economics was established instead. In 1946, after the war, the school was reorganized into Osaka College of Economics co-educational school. In 1949, under Japan's new educational systems, Osaka College of Economics was developed into four-year Osaka University of Economics.

A hothouse for education, Tamagawa University evolved from a kindergarten and elementary school in 1929 to an all-encompassing academy and university for a 10,000-strong community on its large Tokyo campus. With its mission driven by Zenjin education principles, it pushes to "cultivate those pioneers in life who will courageously take up challenges without fear of failure."

On the southern island of Kyushu, the Prefectural University of Kumamoto blends the traditions of its surroundings with the wisdom to push through challenges and build a future of hope. On the compact, tree-lined campus, 2,200 students focus on their study of letters, environment and symbiotic sciences, and administrative studies. Since 1947, the university has evolved a supportive, encouraging, engaged community in this, the City of Forests and Water.
