Rikkyo University was founded in 1874 as a small Christian private school teaching Bible and English studies. Since then, it has developed as one of the top liberal arts universities in Japan and is located in Tokyo.

College of Intercultural Communication (CIC) was established in 2008. The CIC curriculum includes a for-credit Study Abroad Program, where students depart in their 2nd year for one semester or one year. CIC believes “The force of globalization moves the world and its peoples, every community and every citizen. CIC approaches this dynamism by turning knowledge into practice to solve complex problems”.

Established in 1639, Ryukoku University has the longest history of university education and research in Japan. It inaugurated the first faculty of science and engineering, as well as the nation's first faculty of agriculture in a Buddhist university. Korea's leading national research university, Seoul National University has existed in one guise or another since 1895. An amalgamation of colleges, it is well known as the alma mater for Secretary General of the UN Ban Ki-moon, Chairman of the IPCC Hoesung Lee, and Chairman of Samsung Electronics Kwon Oh-hyun.Now the most prestigious university in the country, it ranks in the top 50 global universities for many disciplines. Since 2016, Gakushuin University’s Faculty of International Social Sciences has followed its mission of “cultivating young people who can make a great contribution to the international community.” Using a method that teaches social sciences of law, economics, business management, area studies, and sociology alongside a progressive English-language program, the ISS turns out successful, international business people. ISS provides education based on a fusion of international studies, social sciences, and language where the intensive teaching of practical and natural English happens in the social-sciences classroom. The 200 freshmen annually take English-language classes, then, incrementally, English extends to the social-science courses, which from the third year onward are taught exclusively in English.

Fuzhou University is a university located in Fuzhou, China. The university is in the fields of science and engineering nationally. It also has similar programs such as economics, management, arts and law. The university is part of the PRC national policy called “Project 211” to enhance the development of the tertiary education system in mainland China. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines.

Once one of the Big Four Institutes of Technology, Dalian University of Technology is a public research university recognized for its education in engineering and technology. It is now a top-ranked university directly administered by the Chinese Ministry of Education and recognized as a Class A institution in the Double First Class University Plan, a government initiative to cultivate a group of elite Chinese universities into "world-class" institutions.
