The Chiba University of Commerce, or CUC, located in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, was founded in 1928 by Dr. Ryukichi Endo, Ph.D., and will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2028.
CUC aims to cultivate leaders with a strong sense of ethics through its "practical education," based on the spirit of bushido, or the samurai code.
In 2025, CUC will make a fresh start as a comprehensive university of social sciences comprising four faculties, six departments, and three graduate schools. CUC is committed to making the required university-wide reforms so it can adapt to the changing socio-economic environment and further develop its distinctive "practical education" for the future.
