Our new SAF Korea manager, Suyeon Lee, assumes her exciting new role in July. She has a profound commitment to building a seamless study abroad experience for Korean students and university partners:

“I’m passionate about enabling students and parents through academic study abroad consultations with a focus on the skill sets needed in the digital transformation era."

Suyeon’s primary aim as she takes office is to share the power of studying abroad and enlighten Korea’s finest students of the benefits of the truly life-changing experience of in-person and virtual, credit-bearing programs, language programs, and customized, faculty-led study tours available through SAF.

As part of IES Abroad, a non-profit with 70-plus years of experience, SAF has access to the widest range of premium study abroad opportunities worldwide as well as more than 35 global IES Abroad teaching centers, which host customized and faculty-led study tours.

To support Korea’s leading universities and contribute to the betterment of each institution, Suyeon brings inspiring knowledge from her role as Korea’s regional manager for the University of Europe for Applied Sciences where she achieved a staggering 90% of summer semester 2021 intake enrollments. Previously, as a student admissions counselor at EF Education First, her comprehensive approach to student guidance garnered her multiple awards.

“I was honored to work as coordinator of an academic accreditation system in the past, and that hands-on-experience gave me a well-balanced perspective on how to support the best educational institutions as they create impact on their community and society.”

“I am excited to help SAF in Korea and to use my market insights and experience to genuinely connect with partner universities and potential students. I learn quickly and have a customer-centric business strategy designed to build successful long-term collaborations.”

Suyeon is committed to building fruitful, nurturing relationships with valued Korean partners at the nation’s finest universities: “I’m looking forward to working closely with the international teams to learn from each other and forging friendships across nations!”

Please join us in welcoming Suyeon Lee and do reach out to her to catch up on all the SAF news and discuss how Suyeon can best support you.
