SAF and Chinese partner universities explore internationalization at the 22nd CACIE

On October 21, the 22nd China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo opened in Beijing, welcoming guests from across the country as well as the United States, Britain, and Ireland.

As the organizer, SAF was delighted to promote international cooperation in a nurturing, open and high-quality academic exchange in its sub-forum, New Strategies for University Internationalization Initiatives in the Post-pandemic Era.

This seminar celebrated practice-sharing, exchange, and discussion, to give the 14th Five-year Plan new vigor, cultivating diversified talents with international competitiveness by developing global colleges and universities.

To deliver the opening speeches, SAF invited Mr. Yu Yougen, Deputy Secretary General of China Education Association for International Exchange, Mr. Fang Ying, assistant professor at Xiamen University, and Mr. Zhao Yanshu, SAF’s Vice President of Academic Partner Development.

Deputy Secretary General Yu Yougen said: “We are thrilled to see SAF in China’s colleges and universities, where students visit for both short and longer stays. During their time, they engage positively with Chinese students and enjoy profound cultural experiences in the world’s top schools.”

Zhao Yanshu committed to SAF progressing its in-depth exchange with China’s international exchange faculties: “SAF will continue to work hard to develop more customized programs to meet the different needs of each school.”

Ms. Yu Hongbo, Deputy Director of International Office of Xiamen University, Ms. Carol Carmody, Executive Director of SAF, and Ms. Zhao Ning, Executive Director of SAF China made keynote speeches for the seminar. And on October 20, more than 60 SAF home university teachers joined a warm, inspiring roundtable discussion that set the scene for a productive, enjoyable conference.
