Founded in 1885, Yonsei University, located in Seoul, South Korea, is a prestigious institution known for its research and academic achievements. It has a strong global presence and is celebrated for its picturesque campus, particularly its ivy-covered buildings, which have been featured in numerous K-dramas and films. Many international students, especially from Asia, view Yonsei University as a top choice for studying abroad.

One of the students featured in the video, Kana Sakai, found a way to expand her social network before arriving in Korea, "Before I studied abroad, I wanted to prepare thoroughly for my trip. I took notes on my phone to list the items I might need. I was already familiar with several people in Korea through Buddy, a program that assists exchange students studying in Japan. Preparing like this can help ease the transition to long-term overseas study. Building connections in advance can provide a sense of security."

Ako Koike, another student featured in the video advises, "I realize there is a lot to worry about, but everything will work out. There will undoubtedly be someone around to help you. If you stay curious and surround yourself with supportive people, pushing yourself to grow without feeling guilty can lead to personal development."

Seoul's dynamic cultural landscape features traditional festivals, contemporary entertainment, and opportunities to meet people from diverse backgrounds. The city is a culinary paradise, showcasing everything from traditional Korean dishes to international flavors, catering to various tastes and budgets. Shingo Imada, a fifth-year university student from Japan featured in the video, shares his enthusiasm for the local cuisine: "Lately, I love eating nakgopse."
