Academics

University of Arkansas' Academic Approach
The best part of this program is the volume of research you will get to conduct. Some research programs are even available to start in the summer and continue into the fall while completing some study abroad coursework at U of A—an extended research opportunity.
The strength of the research program is the ability for you to gain experience working in small groups with direct access to research and hands-on collaboration with faculty. As an SAF Scholar, you will:
- Gain a competitive edge through full-time lab experience
- Complete a research project that matches your educational goals
- Work closely with accomplished faculty, increasing the likelihood of a letter of acceptance
Courses
You can choose one to three opportunities from a list of each summer's available research offerings. You submit your application to your preferred opportunities. Arkansas professors will evaluate the candidates and will contact SAF to arrange online video interviews with top candidates. Selections are made after all candidates are interviewed, and the accepted students will be automatically enrolled.
Course & Departmental Restrictions
You are limited to only the opportunities available on the provided listing. You may not take additional courses while doing research during the summer.
