The ski resorts are legendary in this part of the Rockies. Hit the slopes at Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, Vail , Keystone, or Copper Mountain. All located in the Summit Valley just a quick two hour drive from Fort Collins. The locals often stay even closer to home and enjoy cross country skiing and snowshoeing on the snow-covered peaks surrounding the pristine Poudre River Canyon.
