Indianapolis, about 6 miles from Butler, is known for its sporting events and cultural amenities. Downtown trips for shopping, a Colts' football or Indians' baseball game or Indy Jazz Fest are a must. Housing
70 percent of Butler's students live on the campus in one of five residence halls or in the University’s new Apartment Village which opens in the fall 2006 . A full-time Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) manages each residential facility. The SAF Program Fee does not include the cost of mandatory meal plans.
Courses
The performing arts take center stage at Butler. Dance, theater and music students have the benefits of performing or being a member of the audience for a national act at Clowes Memorial Hall, a 2,200-seat performance hall on campus. Chemistry and biology are two other strong majors. Butler's AASCB-accredited business program offers degrees in accounting, economics, finance, international management, marketing and information systems management.
