The SAF staff are active professionals in the field of international education, and we wish to encourage and assist our colleagues to learn more about professional opportunities in the field worldwide.

Host University Site Visits 2007

IAC Members, SAF Associate Members, and guests will have an opportunity to join our host university familiarization visits to be held in conjunction with the NAFSA:  Association of International Educators conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, May 27 to June 1, and the European Association of International Education (EAIE) conference in  Trondheim, Norway, September 13 to 15, 2007.

Pre-NAFSA Site Visits

The tentative dates for the pre-NAFSA host university site visits are May 23 to 26, 2007.

We plan to visit the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas.  We also intend to include a visit to a liberal arts college in the greater Minneapolis area.  These visits will allow our guests an opportunity to compare and contrast the three most prevalent types of higher education institutions in the U.S.:  a large, research university, a regional comprehensive university, and a liberal arts college.

Pre-EAIE Site Visits

The pre-EAIE host university site visits are tentatively scheduled to be held in London from September 10 to 12, 2007.

In the greater London area the SAF host universities provide a unique mix of university types including a leading University of London institution, a multi-campus fine arts university, and a mid-sized suburban London university.  The London site visits are to include Queen Mary, University of London; Middlesex University; Roehampton University; the University of the Arts London; and the University of Westminster.

KAFSA Conference 2006

Prof. John Belcher and Henry Oh of the SAF will attend the Korean Assocation of Foreign Student Administrators (KAFSA) conference in jeju, Korea November 10-12, 2007.
