Campus Safety
The Study Abroad Foundation is committed to providing the safest possible environment for all of our students. Issues of personal safety and specific host university public safety departments are introduced in SAF orientation programs. The university public safety department’s sole responsibility is safety and protection of the campus community which often offer a combination of safe-ride programs, escort service, and controlled access to university buildings, including the residence halls. As well as public safety department contact numbers and procedures, students will be provided with publications, predeparture materials, and extensive information about maintaining personal safety and health while abroad.
When traveling away from their host university, students are encouraged to provide their host country SAF office with emergency contact information.
