 Norwich, England

Located near the east coast, Norwich is rated as one of the most livable cities in England. You'll find a splendid Norman castle and a cathedral of the same period, as well as many medieval buildings. Norwich has a rich cultural scene; explore some of its museums, art galleries, concert venues, and theatres. Cobblestone streets and lovely parks and gardens lend a quiet air to much of the city.

Downtown Norwich, located just twenty minutes by bus from campus, is a bustling commercial centre. The Norwich Cathedral boasts the second tallest spire is England, and the cloisters are the largest monastic cloisters in the country. To attend a play, musical or concert, check out Norwich Arts Center, Maddermarket Theatre and the Assembly House.

If you decide to head out from Norwich, you're only about two hours from London by train. Norwich is also near the Chunnel that connects England to continental Europe, which makes travel to the Continent easy. Closer to the city, you'll find the lovely Norfolk coast, perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking and sailing.
