Middlesex University in London
Middlesex is a large dynamic university based in north London. Although its academic heritage can be traced back to the late nineteenth-century origins of its founding colleges, Middlesex is best known today for its innovative, forward thinking approach to education and learning. Middlesex’s five campuses host about 25,000 students, including 5,000 international students from 100 countries.
All of the Middlesex campuses are within commuting distance of central London. The university offers a huge number of competitive sports teams, clubs, and societies. The student union also is a source of great entertainment; it organizes parties, balls, and concerts. Explore the cafes and pubs on each campus, too.
Housing
Most students live in Middlesex halls of residence which offer single bedrooms with sinks and free unlimited internet access. Students share a kitchen area and are responsible for cooking their own meals. The halls of residence are located throughout London and students can expect a ten to forty-five minute commute to class. The cost of commuting is not included in SAF fees.
Courses
Middlesex offers a wonderful variety of courses across its’ five academic colleges: Computing Science, Health and Social Science, Lifelong Learning, Education, and Arts and Business. Students may replace one of their courses with a 5 credit internship with placement opportunities in business, community studies, the environment, politics, third-world studies, writing and publishing.
