Wollongong University
Located ninety minutes south of Sydney, the University of Wollongong is a great choice for students who want to be near the action of a large city but far enough away to enjoy a natural campus and an intimate atmosphere. With a student body of just over 14,000, Wollongong combines a supportive environment with excellent academics.
Nestled in the foothills of the Mt. Keira rainforest, the campus is beautiful and peaceful, full of gardens and streams. On campus you can enjoy pubs, cafes, restaurants, concerts, movies, plays, and art exhibitions. Wollongong hosts twenty-four social clubs for sports alone, and there are facilities for everything from swimming to hockey and archery to soccer.
Housing
A number of university-run housing optoins are available, including, traditional residence halls and self-catered apartments. International House and Weerona College are located on the University campus and offer single and double rooms. Campus East is a quick shuttle ride away form the campus and near to Fairy Meadow beach. Here students live in single rooms and meals plans are required. Keiraview is locaed close to the city center, beach and university and students live in single rooms. This facilty is self-catering.
The SAF program fee does not include the cost of the mandatory meal plan.
