University of Queensland
Combine cutting-edge academics with easy access to water and nature at the University of Queensland. This university of about 28,000 students is one of the country's leading research institutions and maintains several of its own museums for teaching and research, including the Anthropology, Antiquities, and Art Museums.
Queensland is a great choice for sports lovers. The university's Sports and Physical Recreation Association has unbelievable facilities, including an Olympic-sized pool, sauna and spa, tennis and squash courts, a gym, playing fields, and even a sports medicine center. The campus lies against a bend in the Brisbane River, which makes for great rowing, biking, and running along the riverside paths. In addition, Brisbane's central location on the east coast of Australia puts you within an hour of some of the best surfing beaches in the country.
Housing
You'll most likely live in housing a short commute from campus. The campus is situated in the tranquil neighborhood of St. Lucia in Brisbane. Individual facilities may vary, but most have laundry rooms, recreation rooms, music rooms, a library, computer rooms, and study rooms. SAF fee does not include the mandatory meal plan. Most students are housed off campus and responsible for the cost of any commuting.
Courses
Its large size allows Queensland to offer a great range of courses. The music and psychology programs are popular with students, and the university also is known for its outstanding exercise science program.
